SMCDSB Assistive Technology Educator Summer Institute "Favourite Thing I Learned Today"
This page will provide you and your colleagues an opportunity to share some of the exciting, new strategies or ideas learned during this summer's AT Educator Summer Institute.
I realized how important the KESI Virtual Printer option is to all educators. To be able to take almost any electronic form of information (Word, WordPerfect, HTML pages, etc) and quickly and easily convert it to a KESI file which is essential for so many students, is amazing and needs to be shared with all educators.
Reinforced that different learning styles require a "never give up" attitude from caretaker/teacher

My favourite learning today was how to highlight using the keyboard (so I don't overdo it!). This has been a great refresher for me - I know my students will benefit from my learning.
Using the individual remotes with the SMART board was very interesting.
